Raw Wildcrafted Sea Moss needs to be cleaned and blended prior
to consumption
Chondrus Crispus AKA Irish Moss is common all around the
shores of Ireland and can also be found along the coast of Europe. Irish Moss is largely made of a jelly-like substance known as carrageenan, which makes Irish moss so broadly useful.
Carrageenan can be used as a vegan substitute for gelatin, as well as a general emulsifier, so it can be found in everything from ice cream to infant formula. Irish moss specifically, is one of the best plant sources of omega-3 fatty acids. These fats are critical for a healthy heart. In fact, getting enough omega-3 fatty acids is connected to a lower risk of heart disease, blood clots, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure.
● As a soothing aid to all mucous membranes, Irish Moss is said to ease ailments such as gastritis, nausea, indigestion, constipation, as well as ulcers. Irish Moss also has antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiviral and anticoagulant activities. Used topically, it may help soothe skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and burns. However it is mostly known for its ability to abate the symptoms of colds and flu, dissolve catarrhs and chesty coughs, as well as soothe bronchitis and pneumonia thanks to its anti-coughing properties. It is extremely beneficial for the Digestive system especially for those suffering from illnesses like cancer and diabetes.
